CFUW seminar to help young women plan their finances

This “Women and Wealth” seminar will be given by Michelle Munro and Justin Lacchin. Munro is a senior member of Fidelity’s tax and retirement research team.

CFUW Aurora/Newmarket wants to ensure young women have the financial literacy they need to face their future.

The Women and Wealth lecture series will examine the financial planning required to extend women’s lives – from portfolio building to healthcare and estate planning.

On January 31 at 7 p.m., CFUW Aurora/Newmarket is hosting the second presentation in GEN NEXT, an initiative launched in June by the Canadian Federation of Aurora/Newmarket University Women. The program is aimed at women between the ages of 18 and 30.

Financial literacy is essential for young women to make informed decisions, avoid unnecessary debt and have adequate retirement income.

Michelle Munro and Justin Lacchin will lead the seminar.

Munro is a senior member of Fidelity’s tax and retirement research team. She is also past co-chair of Fidelity’s Women Leadership Group, an employee group dedicated to developing and supporting passionate and driven female leaders.

Lacchin is a Wealth Advisor at IPC Securities and a Vice President and Insurance Advisor (LLQP) at Mowbray, Wright Financial & Insurance Agencies Inc.
