Evelyn Hires to Help Boost International Financial Planning

Financial planner and wealth manager Evelyn Partners, formerly Tilney and Smith & Williamson, has recruited Deutsche Bank’s Nick Reeves to strengthen her London-based international financial planning team.

Mr. Reeves joins the company after four years at Deutsche Bank where he was head of UK Wealth Planning & Intermediaries.

Prior to Deutsche Bank, he was a partner in the London Financial Planning team at Tilney, part of Evelyn Partners. He also worked at Barclays Wealth.

At Evelyn Partners, in his new role, he will support the firm’s ambition to expand its financial planning offering to clients who need international advice.

He will report to Mark Pollock and work on helping with pre-arrival planning for clients wishing to come to the UK, structuring advice for clients wishing to leave the UK and advising clients who are UK residents but not domiciled.

Mark Pollock, Financial Planning Team Partner at Evelyn Partners in London, said: “I am very pleased to welcome Nick back to the business to help us expand our international financial planning service offering. Nick has tremendous experience and expertise in this area and I know he will help us continue to grow our market presence.

Mr. Reeves said: “The business has been on a transformational journey in the four years I have been away and I am truly delighted to be joining after the launch of the new brand. We have a real opportunity to lead the industry in the UK and are uniquely placed to provide top quality advice to clients.

Evelyn Partners was created from the merger of Tilney and Smith & Williamson and manages or advises £55.8 billion in assets. It claims to be the second largest wealth manager in the UK measured by EBITDA and the sixth largest professional services firm ranked by commission income.

It has offices in 27 cities across the UK, as well as in the Republic of Ireland and the Channel Islands.
